Bodegas Nodus kicks off the year with great success at the 14th edition of Verema’s NewWine Competition

Bodegas Nodus begins the year with excellent news for wine lovers. Two of our wines have been recognized at the 14th edition of Verema’s NewWine Competition, one of the most prestigious events on the wine scene, winning important medals that attest to the quality and character of our wines.

Nodus Tinto de Autor 20 Aniversario 2022 – Grand Gold Medal

Awarded the Grand Gold Medal at the 14th edition of Verema’s NewWine Competition, Nodus Tinto de Autor 20 Aniversario is a wine that celebrates two decades of excellence and passion in the production of signature red wines.

Made from a select blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bobal, and Syrah from the best organic vineyards of Bodegas Nodus, it combines varietal richness with the diversity of its terroir, offering a unique and personal character.

After patient maceration with the skins, the wine develops firm, structured tannins, balancing ripe fruit with the toasted notes typical of barrel aging. The result is an elegant, complex red wine with a cherry red color and violet highlights, aromas of ripe fruit, toasted notes, and subtle hints of tobacco, and a pleasant palate with a slightly sweet touch that invites you to enjoy every sip.

Nodus Sauvignon Blanc 2025 – Gold Medal

Winner of the Gold Medal at the 14th edition of Verema’s NewWine Competition, Nodus Sauvignon Blanc is an organic white wine that reflects Bodegas Nodus’ commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.

Made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, this wine is the result of night harvesting, a key practice for preserving the freshness and aromatic potential of the fruit. After harvesting, the must is macerated briefly with the skins at a low temperature prior to pressing, which allows for greater aromatic complexity and varietal expression.

Since the 2018 vintage, this wine has been certified organic, consolidating the winery’s ecological spirit and its commitment to responsible viticulture. The result is a fresh, balanced, and expressive white wine that has won over both the competition jury and consumers.

These distinctions at NewWine by Verema, one of the most important competitions on the Spanish wine scene, are recognition of Bodegas Nodus’ ongoing efforts to produce unique wines that set trends in both the domestic and international markets.
