Chavalote Tinto - D. O. Valencia

Fresh and intense

Organic young red wine made from Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes. We make wine from Tempranillo grapes grown in sandy soil, which lends it a sense of freshness on the nose and good acidity. They combine perfectly with Garnacha grapes from clay soils, which offer the intensity of black berries that fills the mouth. Fermentation is carried out in stainless-steel vats at a temperature of 20-22°C and maceration takes between 10 and 15 days.

Chavalote is “the evolution” of Chaval, a successful organic Bobal wine: “We’ve created Chavalote with Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes, two varieties we grow on the Finca El Renegado. In this new wine, we get a bonus from that time spent with the oak; a short time in the barrel lends notes of vanilla, dark-roasted flavours, and coconut, but it will never predominate over the grape. These flavours combine well with these grapes and respect the fruitiness of these two wonderful varieties”.
